Welcome to the Aylestone Baptist Church web pages.
Aylestone Baptist Church can be found on the Lutterworth Road, near the Aylestone shops, opposite Enterprise Car Hire. We are a friendly and informal church committed to serving our community and helping one another to follow Jesus. We are presently looking for a student youth worker who will train at St. John's College, Nottingham and practice their developing skills here at Aylestone Baptist Church. Please see our news page for more details.

Worship
We meet on Sunday mornings at 9.00am and again at 10.45am. The two morning services are mostly the same, though the first service is shorter (about an hour) and the second service includes a separate children's programme for children aged 4-16 and a creche for babies and toddlers. Both services consist of lively and creative worship and relevant teaching.

Activities
During the week we run or host a wide range of activities: Housegroups, Baby and Toddler Group, The Hangout youth club, Urban Saints children's and youth midweek club, Lunch Club for senior citizens, Men's meetings, Women's meetings, Gateway Club for those with learning disabilities, and dance classes. Holiday club: Parachute games and a BBQ for parents and children

Thoughout the year, we hold a number of special events, from Alpha courses to drama performances, to children’s holiday activities. Please see the events page for up-to-date information. We have a church hall available for hire for children's parties and community meetings, as well as regular clubs and societies. We also arrange a number of activities in the community in conjunction with the other Churches in Aylestone, through our Spirit of Aylestone community group.

The church is available for weddings and funerals, and we would be delighted to talk to parents about dedicating their children.

Affiliations
Aylestone Baptist Church is a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, and associates with other local Baptist churches through the East Midlands Baptist Association. We support a number of mission organisations, in particular BMS World Mission, and we support some of their missionaries in particular - Christine Preston OBE, who has worked in Bangladesh and now Nepal for over thirty years, and Scott and Anjanette Williamson, working in Peru. We also have a connection with Calvary Telegu Baptist Church in Chennai, S. India, supporting them in prayer and finance. We are hosting a youth and community work student, Chris Newlyn, for three years, who works with our young people whilst training at St. John's College, Nottingham.
