A young lad was visiting a church for the first time, checking all the announcements and posters along the walls. When he came to a group of pictures of men in uniform, he asked a nearby usher, "Who are all those men in the pictures?" The usher replied, "Why, those are our boys who died in the service." Dumbfounded, the youngster asked, "Was that the morning service or evening service?"

The New Life Apostolic Church believes that church, Christianity is something to be enjoyed rather than to be endured. The Westminster Catechism answer to the question “What is the chief end of man?” is “Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.” Our services are designed with this purpose is mind. We can be found on Sanvey Lane, just off Middleton Street, in Aylestone, and a warm and friendly welcome awaits all. Our Pastor Richard Forman can be contacted on Leicester (0116) 275 2582.

We meet every Sunday morning at 10:30 am for approximately an hour and a half. Our worship is joyful and the congregation are given an opportunity to express their worship, praise and thanksgiving to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We also break bread together and our teaching ministry from God’s Word is designed to provide practical and relevant guidance for living to everyone.

During any month we run a number of regular meetings and varied activities including gospel service, prayer meetings, bible studies, parent and toddler group and occasional family services. Please visit our groups and activities page for details of regular activities and the events page for other planned activities.

The current vision of the Leicester Apostolic Church is to build a Church based upon the four pillars of Acts 2 v 42 being the apostles doctrine (God’s Word), fellowship, breaking of bread (a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ) and prayer. Someone once said, “Going to church does not make you a Christian any more than going to a garage makes you a car.” We agree with this sentiment. We want to introduce people not to a religion or to a church, but primarily to a person, the Lord Jesus Christ our Creator, Redeemer, Saviour, Shepherd and Guide. We want to fulfil the great commission and the great commandment to share the good news of salvation from sins through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, to love God and to love our neighbour.

The Leicester Apostolic Church is a member of The Apostolic Church of Great Britain. Fellowship with other Apostolic Churches is encouraged through a system of Regional Fellowships and Meetings. We also support Apostolic missionaries through our overseas missionary board “actionoverseas.” In particular, the missionary giving of the church supports our missionary in Malawi.

If you would like any additional information about the church or any of its activities then please contact the Pastor on the telephone number noted above.
